The Modern Female of the Month - Charity Reeb

Fifteen years ago, I walked into my college dorm at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and felt overwhelmed by the realization that I would be living 800 miles away from home and knew no one. But, within the first day of my arrival I met the most wonderful gal named Charity who became a very dear friend of mine.

Not to my surprise, Charity has already made a tremendous impact in the lives of others during the past fifteen years and is continuing to pursue her passions in business, ministry, missions work and raising a beautiful family.

I decided to honor Charity Reeb as The Modern Female of the Month because her story is full of challenges, courage, passion, perseverance and ingenuity. I hope you will be greatly encouraged by this brief interview I did with Charity and will be inspired by her latest projects.

This is her story.

What or who inspired you to pursue the role or professional career that you now have?

Growing up, I was often in awe and very inspired by the missionaries who would travel and share at our church. Their intentionality to make the Gospel known with people who have never heard about it always seemed very selfless to me. I also noticed the sacrifices they made in their lives and I never heard them complain. There’s so much joy in the journey of sharing Jesus with others.

What challenges did you face in pursuing your goals?

I have achieved a lot of goals in my lifetime: I’ve traveled the world, consulted for large ministries and nonprofits and seen great results, started and ran successful businesses, and most recently launched my Kickstarter campaign for the Real Life Journal that just hit 130% of my goal with continued growth.

However, I must admit that my biggest challenge when pursuing goals and really anything in life is telling myself that it's not possible or just giving up in the process.

What lessons have you learned along your journey?

When you put God first in life, the rest truly does work itself out. It’s a supernatural gift. I’ve experienced this time and again in my life thus far. It does you no good to worry about hitting a goal or striving in your own efforts. Either the doors are opening up or they’re not. Walk through the doors that God is opening for you! That's where the goals are that He would love to see you meet.

What are your future goals and why?

Currently, I’m getting ready for the re-launch of CharityReeb.com. On it I’ll have a full store for the Real Life Journal, pre-order available for my next big project, Higher Purpose You, and access to my podcast that is releasing in 2017 Good Bad Real Life with Charity Reeb.

My prayer is that God would open up a discipleship movement worldwide through the resources I am developing. I hope to see countless Jesus followers leading the world in a lifestyle where God is placed in the center of life itself.

If you could give one piece of advice to other women, what would it be?

If God has given you a passion to serve the world through your gifts and talents, seek Him first and then start taking steps forward. Don’t hesitate. Don’t worry or feel anxious about what God has for your life. Just trust that if you’re seeking God first He will guide your steps as you keep moving.
