My husband and I spent several months this summer with his sister's family in Northern California, and while we were there we visited a phenomenal play ground called Heather Farm in Walnut Creek. Honestly, this "wonder world" of color and full sensory experience made me want to help raise the money to build a play ground like it in every city for EVERY CHILD to enjoy!

Heather Farm is completely free and open to the public. It was built on a former family-owned farm nestled in the rolling hills of the East Bay area of San Francisco. Surrounded by beautiful trees and a small pond, Heather Farm offers a wide variety of play ground levels for children ranging from toddler to older elementary age. The play ground was originally designed by several companies of the Walnut Creek community who wanted to make sure that every child, even children with special needs, would enjoy this assortment of colorful slides, musical instruments, sandboxes, rolling hills and swing sets.

I encourage every parent to take their children to Heather Farm at least once if they're in the East Bay area and enjoy this outstanding outdoor experience that is free of charge!

Admission: FREE

Parking: FREE open lot
