Sometimes the rain, snow or cold weather makes it difficult to take our little ones out to play or find warm activities, so I decided to launch a whole new page on our site called 'Home Activities'. I hope you enjoy these easy, fun, seasonal crafts that will really help your whole family to get in the mood for Thanksgiving!
Our first craft is called Apple Print Wreath and here are the simple directions.
Materials:
- apple
- paper plate
- red and green paint
- knife
- brown craft paper
- masking tape
- scissors
- glue
Directions:
1. Cut the brown craft paper so that it lays open and flat on the table and tape it down with the masking tape to make sure your table doesn't get messy or painted red and green.
2. Pour some red paint onto the paper plate.
3. Cut the apple lengthwise.
4. Start printing with the apple cut side dipped in the red paint and stamp on the brown craft paper.
5. Dip your child's thumb or finger into the green paint to make the stems.
6. Let the paint dry.
7. Cut the apples out and cut the middle circle out of the paper plate.
8. Put glue on the paper plate and stick the cut apples to the paper plate till it looks like a full Fall wreath.
9. Let the glue dry and hang up the pretty wreath for your family and guests to see!
Crafts are not about perfection, but about making a memory with your little ones that you will never forget.
